Steel Kenzan Plastic Kenzan
steel kenzan
In order to enhance your ikebana practice, we have made an effort to stock up on different types and sizes of kenzan. As much as possible, we chose those with rubber bases. Though not absolutely necessary, the rubber base helps prevent the kenzan from sliding once it is underwater. If you find some of your old kenzan without the rubber base, we have the kenzan mat available to your rescue. The kenzan naoshi is a convenient tool to straighten bent pins and safely clean up small debris stuck between the pins. We have slowly moved the bulk of our inventory to the stainless steel type. Stainless steel is hardier and, as the name implies, stains less. All our kenzan products and accessories are made in Japan
Dimensions provided are rough measurements meant for reference only.
The rubber base adds about 2-3 mm thickness.
All kenzans are made in Japan.
